Universal Worklist book

I know I said it would be ready in time for Tech Ed, but there was a slight schedule slip (turns out it takes quite a long time to write a book when you only do it on Sundays).

The good news is that I managed to submit the first draft of the book just before Tech Ed (where SAP Press had a pile of "Order Now" flyers for it - thanks guys!). We are now in the editing process, so the book will most likely be published just into the new year.

I learnt a lot while writing this book - hopefully you will too. Guided Procedures are way cool...

Did you also cover the WDJ version of the UWL in your book?

Hi Suresh,

The book covers the NW 7.0 version of UWL, which is the WDJ version - although most of the techniques apply equally well to the NW04 version.

There is also a workshop in the book about how to develop a WDJ action handler for UWL items.

The book will be hitting the shelves in late January, all being well.

Thanks.. I'm sure the book will be an instant sell-out! fyi, we just had an issue with a workitem in the UWL pointing to a different server.. it took me a while to figure out that the table entry in SWKHANDT was wrong.. I'm hoping you've covered things like these as troubleshooting tips..
